This work was done with a team in iterations. Revisions were done each year. My role encompassed mechanical design, simulation, and testing.
Background
Hall effect thrusters are a class of electric propulsion systems known for mass efficient propulsion and long useful life. These thrusters are used on satellites and spacecraft, enabling orbit transfers, life extension, and other satellite applications.
The group built and tested a series of low cost thrusters, learning about physics, engineering, and science along the way.
